Firstly, please export the full song (your rough mix/master) and include it in the package. This is so we can check if the stems sound the same and are properly aligned on our end.
Recommended export settings: 44.1Khz, 24bit, no dither.
All processing on your master channel should be turned OFF during the export.
IMPORTANT: Please leave all processing and automations you have on your stems turned ON. You are welcome to additionally send the unprocessed/raw versions (they still need to include automations), please label them as ‘Raw’ or ‘Unprocessed’ and place into a separate folder.
Typically for a basic 10 stem package, you would split your song into groups listed below. For the 15 stem packages, just use the same formula, but strip down further the groups into individual stems:
Example of a 10 stem package:
4. 4×4 Main Hat
5. 4×4 Main Clap
7. Tops (hats / cymbals / shakers / tambourines etc.)
8. Keys, Chords, Pads
9. Synths, Leads
10. Buildup & Transitional FX (white noise / filter noise / crash / hits / impacts)
After the export please don’t forget to load stems into an empty project and check carefully for alignment, levels, automations and make sure no sounds are missing. Length of the stems need to match the total length of the song. Please DO NOT overlook this step.
